After 12th science, MBBS is one of the most sought-after courses in the medical field due to its length of 5.5 years (4.5 years academics + 1-year mandatory internship). Universities and colleges from all over the world are offering MBBS degrees. Students who have completed the 10+2 exam and have Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as the three subjects in the 12th stream qualify for the MBBS degree. Medical in India is a five-year course that consists of basic subjects like physiology, biochemistry, microbiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and pathology. How do I apply for MBBS admission?
Students need to complete Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as part of their 10+2 education and score at least 50% marks on the MBBS entrance exam. Reserved seats require students to score 40%.
It is recommended that students be between 17 and 25 years old.
Students must appear for the NEET (National Eligibility Cumulative Entrance Test), offered by the CBSE, New Delhi, as well as the AIIMS & JIPMER entrance exams to get admission into the M.B.B.S program.
MBBS & BDS courses will no longer be admitted by state exams or university tests from the year 2016.
All admissions to MBBS courses are now through the NEET examination.
