Primary Education
Schooling is mandatory for children in Kazakhstan and consequently, the national literacy rate of Kazakhstan is over 99%. The 5 grades of primary school beginning at age 6. In order to share facilities, two separate groups of children attend morning and afternoon shifts separately. The ministry of education in Kazakhstan prescribes the curriculum, and this applies to both private and public schools.
Middle Education
Through to grade 9, students continue with their education program at lower secondary school for 4 years. A general academic curriculum includes Kazakhstann or Kazakh depending on location, plus biology, chemistry, history, mathematics, physics, and a foreign language.

Intake
